Ramadan: Visit & Help the Less Fortunate
UMP Alumni Society (UMP Alumni) together with Pahang I-Bantu IKRAM, Pahang Hidayah Centre, Saffad and UMP 4 th Residential College has organized Ramadan Visit Program on June 4 th 2016.
Program involving 50 volunteers from UMP alumni, students and staff and also Pahang I-Bantu IKRAM volunteer focuses on allocating donations in a form of daily need and money contributions to those less fortunate n needy person.
The recipients of this program are the poor and needy, single mother, those who suffer from chronic diseases, the reverts, senior citizens, natives muslim family and also the disabled from seven selected village in Kuantan involving 85 families.
First session of this visit starts concurrently in five location, namely Kampung Tiram,Kampung Teruntum, Kampung Kurnia, Kampung Sungai Isap, Kampung Padang under the supervision of Pahang Hidayah Centre.
65 recipients received the donation in a form of groceries supply, praying attire and prayer mat and also some money donated from UMP Alumni Society, Saffad and Pahang I-Bantu IKRAM.
This program meant so much not only to the receivers but also for the contributors since they get the chance to fulfill their social responsibility by helping the society in the holy month of Ramadhan.
The contributions were handed by the Yang di-Pertua of Pahang State IKRAM Organization, Suhaimi Mohd Aripin representing Pahang I-Bantu which were also involved in this program at Kampung Tiram. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Professor Dato’ Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin, the Chairman of Pahang Hidayah Centre, Tuan Haji Zuraidi Ismail and the Program Director, Mohd Najib Razali attended the ceremony.
