RM30 Thousands Zakat Bank Islam for UMP Students

Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) contributes RM30,000 zakat to Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) in Bank Islam Zakat Contribution Ceremony held at Dewan Tun Fatimah, Kompleks Pentadbiran Utama in UMP Gambang Campus on 7 August 2014.

The concern of BIMB in fulfilling its social obligations by contributing donations for the benefit of the asnaf from among the students who need financial assistance is highly appreciated by UMP.

This donation allows welfare and basic needs of the student to be monitored and to be used to cover the expenses while pursuing their study in the university.

The management of UMP always finds ways to help ease the burden and difficulties faced by students in coping with relatively high cost of living in the campus.

This situation need to be assisted and, if left unchecked, will give negative impact on students' academic achievement levels.

At the same time, BIMB also suggested UMP to establish strategic partnership in establishing waqaf or endowment assets for the benefit of society.
