Sharing The Joy Celebrating Eid Ul Ftri

Kuantan, 21st June – Nothing is much happier than to see the smile on the faces of these orphans, asnaf and the disabled when they were given the opportunity to shop for Aidilfitri at Mydin Hypermarket in Kuantan.

Donation in forms of hari raya clothes and cookies were distribute in Baju Raya Matahari Project, a collaboration project by Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and UMP Women’s Association (Matahari), in conjunction with Jejak Asnaf program, a program under Mygift initiatives introduced by the university.

Also present in this program were Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Prof. Dato’ Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin and Matahari President, Prof. Datin Dr. Mimi Sakinah Abdul Munaim.

According to Prof. Dato’ Dr. Yuserrie, this program is a continuity from MyGift program that has been done throughout the year focusing to help the local community. This donation could at least help to ease their burden and give them the opportunity to celebrate Aidilfitri that is coming soon.

In conjunction with this holy month of Ramadan, UMP team up with UDA Holdings to organize Indahnya Ramadan UDA-Komuniti 1 Malaysia (KIM) Program, Iftar, Singgah Sahur, Celebrating Ramadan UMP - Program Mesra Dakwah Club (PERAMAH) and Jejak Asnaf Program. Basic daily needs were donated to asnaf in Pekan and Kuantan in this program.

Prof Datin Dr Mimi Sakinah said, Matahari always look for opportunity where they can lend a helping hand to help single mother, orphans and asnaf. In this month of Ramadan, they have helped more than 200 people by donating basic needs, health kit and also hari raya cookies. Volunteers from Registry Department, Islamic Centre & Human Development and Matahari members help distributing the donations.

Celebrates Ramadan with UMP, PERAMAH and Community of Pekan

Pekan, 5th June – Universiti Malaysia Pahang collaborates with Program Mesra Dakwah Club (PERAMAH) to distribute foodstuffs as well as health kit to the community of Kg. Serun Pantai in Nenasi Pekan in a program to celebrate the coming of Ramadan, ‘We Love We Care’ with PERAMAH recently.

MyGift UMP Board of Trustee, who is also PERAMAH Advisor, Dato’ Mohd. Nizar Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib and wife Datin Nur Sharmila Shaheen give away the donations. Also present were UMP Vice Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim and wife Datin Fazia Ali, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni) Prof. Dato’ Dr. Yuserrie Zainuddin and PERAMAH Secretary, Khairul Anuar Mohd Khalyubi.

According to Dato’ Mohd. Nizar, corporate social responsibility (CSR) program could help to ease the burden of the less fortunate community, especially single mothers and the disabled person.

“With the coming of holy month of Ramadan, we want to share the joy of celebrating Ramadan without forgetting this less fortunate people. We want them to feel and be able to experience celebrating Ramadan as what other people feels. The charity work done with UMP in preparing and ensuring the success of this program is highly appreciated,” he added.

Meanwile, Professor Dato’ Dr. Daing said, this CSR program is part of MyGift initiatives to bridging the gap between university and local community. With the help of everybody and the commitment showed by the philanthropist, this effort will be continued to help those in need.

He thanked and expressed his gratitude for the commitment shown by UMP volunteers, coming from Registry Department, Islamic Centre & Human Development, Student Representatives Council and UMP Women’s Association (MATAHARI) members in preparing and distributing the donations.

A total of 30 people from low income family, asnaf and single mothers received the donation in this program.

Program Kongsi Rezeki 4.0 helps the students in need

Pekan, 14 December – Student Affairs & Alumni Department (SAffAD) continues to organize Program Kongsi Rezeki for the fourth year in a row. It is an initiatives in helping the student by preparing and selling lunch at only RM 1.00.

Projek Kongsi Rezeki 4.0 is a collaboration project between Welfare, Sponsor & Discipline Unit and MyGift UMP with the objective to ease the financial burden of the less fortunate students in UMP. This project has been done concurrently in both campuses and received a great and warm response from the students and lasted for three days from 12 to 14 December 2017.

According to Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni) Prof. Dato’ Dr. Yusserie Zainuddin, this programme focuses on helping the less fortunate students that has been selected to receive Zakat, Bantuan 1Malaysia, MyGift UMP and out-campus students.

“Besides helping those students in need, this program also gives the opportunity to the public to donate and contribute for the program through MyGift Fund,” he said when met during the programme.

Anak-anak yatim dan asnaf ceria terima baju raya

 

Kuantan, 21 Jun- Perasaan gembira dan teruja jelas terpancar pada wajah seramai 43 asnaf, anak yatim dan orang kurang upaya (OKU) dari keluarga asnaf sekitar Nenasi, Kuala Pahang dan Kuantan apabila diberi peluang membeli-belah persiapan Aidilfitri di Pasaraya Mydin Kuantan hari ini.

Mereka menerima sumbangan baju raya dan kuih raya dalam Projek Baju Raya Matahari anjuran Universiti Malaysia Pahang ( UMP) dengan kerjasama Persatuan Wanita UMP (Matahari) bersempena program Jejak Asnaf hasil inisiatif MyGift yang diperkenalkan Universiti.

Hadir sama Timbalan Naib Canselor (Hal Ehwal Pelajar dan Alumni), Profesor Dato Dr Yuserrie Zainuddin dan Presiden Persatuan Matahari ,Prof Datin Dr Mimi Sakinah Abdul Munaim.

Menurut Prof. Dato' Dr. Yuserrie, program menyantuni keluarga ini adalah hasil kesinambungan program MyGift yang dijalankan sepanjang tahun terutamanya dalam usaha membantu komuniti setempat.

"Bantuan ini sekurang-kurang dapat membantu meringankan beban dan merasai nikmat berhari raya dengan lebih bermakna serta menyemarakkan keindahan Ramadan dan menjelangnya Aidil Fitri tidak lama lagi," katanya.

Bersempena Ramadan juga UMP berkerjasama dengan UDA Holdings Berhad menganjurkan Program Indahnya Ramadan UDA-Komuniti 1 Malaysia (KIM) dan Majlis Berbuka Puasa, program Singgah Sahur, Raikan Ramadan UMP-Kelab Program Mesra Dakwah (PERAMAH) dan Jejak Asnaf dengan memberi sumbangan keperluan harian dan baju raya kepada golongan asnaf sekitar Kuantan dan Pekan.

Dalam pada itu, sebagai sebuah institusi pengajian tinggi dan Universiti Awam yang berteraskan bidang-bidang kejuruteraan, teknikal dan teknologi, UMP sentiasa komited untuk membuka ruang kerjasama dengan industri dalam pelbagai lapangan termasuklah bidang kesukarelawanan.

Selain itu, program ini juga berjaya mengeratkan hubungan baik dan kejituan sinergi antara UMP dengan pihak luar dalam konteks pelaksanaan inisiatif berkaitan Tanggungjawab Sosial Korporat (CSR) bagi manfaat masyarakat terutamanya di Kuala Pahang.

Manakala bagi Prof Datin Dr Mimi Sakinah berjaya, pihak persatuan sentiasa prihatin membantu golongan Ibu tunggal, anak yatim dan asnaf.
Katanya, sepanjang bulan ini sahaja lebih 200 orang daripada golongan sasar termasuk pelajar dari keluarga susah menerima bantuan barangan keperluan asas, kit pembersihan dan kuih raya yang diagihkan melibatkan sukarelawan daripada Jabatan Pendaftar, Pusat Islam dan Pembangunan Islam serta ahli persatuan.
